Shadows of the Dark Empire

Hello Dark Empire! The Dark Lord Apocalypse is here and It's come to my attention that The Old Republic half of the Dark Empire has fallen as quickly as it rose to power. I myself take the responsibilities of this decay.

I entered The Old Republic game eagerly around September 2012 and unfortunately it was a bad time for me to wittily create such a huge branch to lead.

I was searching for jobs daily, then I got a full time job during the night so sleeping during the day didn't help me run the guild. Then my girlfriend Starlight moved in, so my plate has been pretty full, life is settling down for me at the moment so I went online on TOR two nights ago and thats when I realized... nobody was online. I was the only one out of 370 inactive users.

So I checked the DE/TOR site out and its offline as well. I'm not sure if the current members are interested in trying to do something with DE TOR, but I may be willing to put something into it.

Notably, DE in JKA rose and fell around the same time simultaneously. This accumulation might be from lack of interest in these Star Wars games, games in general, or perhaps this was a bad time of the year for all of us due to lack of free time.

This coming March of 2013 will be the Dark Empire of the Sith's 5 year celebration
month. That's something to look forward to, it was a long run men and women of DE! It's been a pleasure knowing you all and playing together. I got to know most of you and its been great.

I'll end this topic on saying I've honestly been thinking of retiring as Dark Lord. If I retire the banner of DE may be laid to rest, or perhaps another DE member could take the mantle and run DE throughout gaming history.
I'm still reallly thinking about retirement, I might not. I'll leave this topic open for comments below!

Though I may not like your decision to retire, I respect it because you've been one of my greatest friends that I've ever met on the internet. I consider you a brother apoc, and it will always remain as such. When I first found -[DE]- in June 2009 I had some mental issues (depression) which I developed in the 7th grade. -[DE]- really helped me sort of get my mind off of one of my friend's suicide. I haven't really been in any other JKA clan since June of 2009 because they just weren't the same. Me, Madara, and Jugg would attempt to make a -[DE]- clone but something just wasn't right/the same. That little something was not having Apoc with us. I tried to join clans such as EK and JP after apoc went inactive but I just didn't have fun at all. I never made it past the Trial rank in those clans. I agree overall that it was a good run with -[DE]- and I will still carry the banner in Apoc's place if I'm asked to. I respect apoc as a leader, a clanmate, and a good friend. I hope his future takes him to high and fortunate places, even without -[DE]-.

I don't like that sound of "retiring". I won't stop you on your way to a new journey and life. All that I ask now is if you retire, know this. When you took me under the wing of DE, you had changed the real Sith in me. Before DE, I was a savage, a mutt. But then you came along. When that happened, you fueled me to push all that stand in my way aside. You made me the warrior I am today. A tank, filled with a purpose to fight for someone. And I thank you for that. I await your decision when the time comes.

Who'll be taking SW:TOR lead if you retire anyway ?

Well, since I'm not a fully subscribed member in SW:TOR It already automatically took away my leadership and gave it to my old TOR apprentice Zorkra, so without even my consent it's her guild at the moment lol. I'm talking with her right now about that.

Also I still haven't made up my mind. Thanks Martyr, love you too bro, and lol Net, superglue wont hold me!!!1 And HK's Poem made me laugh.

Sorry I've been inactive lately, but I did just get a new comp, it currently has 8 gigs of ram but I'm getting more atm. I will download SW:TOR and I've got 2 others that will be joining me on my quest. Don't leave just yet Apoc, these Younglings need you for guidance. I know i did. (and still do)

All this thinking and no action, I doubt I'm going to drop the mantle or retire but next time we all can, we should boost activity in JKA or some other mutual game we can all play and revive the guild of the Dark Empire!

I'll probably be getting a new computer, not sure when, and I will get JKA off of Steam and "will" boost up activity! Definitely. I will not fail my lord.
