To keep things running smooth we've written a set of basic rules for all members to follow.
These rules are divided into logical groups:
All areas of the Empire
Server specific rules
Only for their given area
If you are caught violating these, it will result in an official -[DE]- warning. You only get one warning.
If you violate the rules again you will be banned from the Dark Empire.
If a rule violation occurs take a screenshot or make a demo and report it to the
nearest, or -[DE]-Admin,etc. In the case of emergency report it to a Council member.
These rules may be subject to change without notice and are not all inclusive. If a staff member (a Knight, Master, or Council member) requests something extra from you please follow it.
!!!These rules all boil down to respect. If you do not have respect for your fellow players, you have no place in the Empire!!!
Discussing pirating, or distributing it, is strictly forbidden!
Try to keep swearing to a minimum. Racist/sexist/homophobic talk is extremely forbidden.
This extends to the image you use on your profile and the name you use on the servers.
Maintain English language. A small chat in other languages is tolerated, but remember that English is the main language of the Empire.
Recruiting is allowed on -[DE]- servers, however spamming recruitment messages will result in a warning and then a kick.
No amount of personal attacks or character assassination (also known as flaming) is not tolerated.
If you cannot be polite then be quiet.
All general -[DE]- Dark Empire of the Sith rules and ethics apply when on our servers!
You may use a nickname other than your Empire name when on our servers, you may NOT, however impersonate the name of another -[DE]- member.
If a staff member asks what your Empire name is you will have to tell them.
Failure to do so will result in a kick or ban.
This is to ensure that we do not get intruders on the servers.
If the Dark Empire server has a password enabled than they are for the private use of our -[DE]- members and no one else.
Giving out the server passwords is not allowed.
If someone asks you for the passwords, you are to
direct them to the server page (member or non member).
If you are found to have given out the password to someone you
will be BANNED from the Empire regardless of warnings.
If classes are in session on the server and a staff member asks you to leave, immediately do so without arguing.
Should a ranked member be present on the server, ask for her/his permission to join the class.
Laming is allowed on -[DE]- Servers, however is somebody continually asks you to stop attacking them while they are unwilling to fight back, then respectfully stop.
If someone is bothering you .
If it continues, report it to a staff member, switch to spectator or take a break to calm down.
Fists out equal a free kill (it is not a lame to be killed when you have fists out).
Also if you are attacking with force powers and saber off, your enemies are permitted to kill you even if you request for them not to.
If it is not naturally bound to a key in the game, do not script it. A custom keyboard config. is fine if it makes you
comfortable, but no binding combo moves (DFA, lunge, etc).
This gives an unfair advantage and is considered cheating.
In addition the use of a kill tracker is not allowed on the servers. (With the exception of UU's and JAM's.)
!Please keep guns in the gun area if they are activated on server!
The same thing goes for setting det.packs/trip mines traps outside that area. If we catch you doing this you will be subject to disciplinary action.
The only exceptions to this rule is if the presence of guns or traps outside of the gun area is OK with everyone on the
server and a staff member is present (to keep things from getting out of hand).
If someone has a problem with it, even only one person, then do NOT do it.
Remember that trip mines stay in place after you disconnect. Please destroy them before leaving the server.
Any extraordinary activity (such as FFA, role-playing, king of the hill, etc.) involving guns or other aggressive actions
outside the gun area or any other rule violation must be approved with everyone
on the server and a staff member must
present (to keep things from getting out of hand).
To avoid confusion to people joining the server during such a session
STAY clear of the spawn point ortell them directly when they connect.
When using the NPC's on different maps allowing NPC spawning only spawn as many NPC's as you can handle and no more
that 5 at a time. Use your heads here.
Note that the NPC's are for training purposes only and should only be used for that.
Abusive action of the NPC room will not be tolerated. Please do not continuously ask the -[DE]- admin officials to spawn things. Once is enough.
Please do not stand in doorways as this affects the FPS in the connecting rooms. Make a choice... in or out.
Anybody threatening the -[DE]- servers or site with hacks will not be tolerated.
Threats with hacks are not taken lightly if you do so you will be immediately banned.
Do not continually ask if you can join the clan (once is enough if you are denied stop asking) or if you are in -[DE]-
DO NOT ask to be promoted.
-[DE]- deals with rank promotions according to the Council's desire. If you are promoted consider it a privilege>.
When an announcement is being made, classes, or a clan meeting held do NOT interrupt the instructor/staff member.
Wait patiently until discussion is open to you. When an announcement is not under session you are free to talk as you wish.
When talking to a high ranking -[DE]- member always (if server is in clanmod or JA plus) stand at attention.
(/atease in console for clanmod. /amatease in console for JA plus).
Always respond with "yes my lord" when acknowledging a Council member.
We did not want to resort to having to list these rules, since they should be common sense.
However, events have led us to make this list.
We do NOT ever want to ban anyone, but you have to participate by our rules if you want to participate at all.
